School Ministries of Birmingham

School Ministries of Birmingham is a Released Time Education program that was founded in late 2014 to bring Bible-based education to the public school systems in Jefferson and Shelby counties. The first program was recently launched in January 2016 at Spain Park High School with classes being held at Christ Church. Through a 1952 Supreme Court ruling, Released Time Education, and thus our School Ministries of Birmingham program, is constitutionally legal as long as the class meets off campus, is privately funded, and the students receive parental consent.
