Shelby Humane Society

Our mission is to care for homeless, abused, neglected and abandoned animals and educate the community to instill an increased awareness and commitment to the responsibility of animal ownership and protection.

Shelby Humane Society was founded in 1977 and has continued to provide valuable services to pet owners and residents of Shelby County. Each year, approximately 5,000 animals receive shelter and care within the facility.

As a nonprofit organization, Shelby Humane Society relies on individual donor support, fundraisers, special events and corporate sponsorships.
