The Magic City Nutcracker

The Community Nutcracker was established in the winter of 2012 by Kelly Avery, Stephanie Thompson, and Angel White of Vestavia Dance, who had a passion for dance and philanthropy. Their vision was to create a highly-sophisticated production of The Nutcracker Ballet, where local talent is the performing company. The Community Nutcracker is the ONLY nonprofit, volunteer-run organization that offers a portion of its proceeds to local charitable agencies though their church, Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church, with each performance. Our Mission The Community Nutcracker is committed to supporting and maintaining the highest quality of artistic vision as a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization using local community talent and providing a beautiful holiday tradition for the city of Birmingham.
