Ward Communications Consulting

Ward Communications Consulting, LLC. specializes in communications skills training; devoting much effort to helping clients "develop their best speaking voices."  We believe that everyone can be an effective public speaker with the right tools and training.  Our services are available in the form of public and corporate workshops and seminars; in addition to one-2-one speech coaching.

Our principal, Janice B. Ward, MA, has conducted workshops, seminars, and various training to an array of clients from non-profit organizations and corporate clients to individuals and healthcare organizations. She has more than 25 years of experience as an instructor, speaker, seminar and workshop developer and leader.  Ward has teaching experience at the collegiate level as well as experience teaching continuing education and professional development classes. 

Her public speaking and presentation experience includes many array of audiences including the first time that she was handed a "mic" and put in front of a lectern to lead a meeting of the Future Homemakers of 
America. This experience has shaped her communications skill set and passion for speaking in public.  She has 
served as motivational and keynote speaker for numerous events and occasions. She served one year  as President of the National Alumni Society for the University of Alabama at Birmingham; which added to 
her already extensive speaking and presentations resume– she presided over and presented at more than fifty meetings and events. 

Ward's public speaking and presentations experience covers a broad range of events and venues– press conferences, panel discussions, community advocacy events, church events, and business meetings.

THE MISSION
Our mission is to help our clients find their communications voices whether it is in a public speaking situation, professional  presentations, or workplace communications; or through discovering their communications style, exploring cultural competency in communication, or bringing new diversity tools into the workplace. 

THE VISION
Clients will participate in one of our workshops, seminars or coaching sessions; and they will return to their homes, workplaces, and classrooms; with a stronger, powerful, more confident communication voice.

COMMUNITY
Ward Communications Consulting, LLC takes pride in being a community partner with local charities and agencies. We support the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama, the Children's Hospital of Alabama, 
and Jessie's  Place for Women and Children. We also contribute to other areas of the community, including the American Heart Association, the UAB National Alumni Society, Girl Scouts,  and the Single Mothers Empowerment Conference, Inc.
