Alabama Cup Racing Series Whitewater Racing - Locust Fork Races

Presented by Alabama Cup Racing Association at Kings Bend

The Alabama Cup Races have been in existence since 1992. The Mulberry Fork Canoe & Kayak Races started in 1981 and is the longest running slalom race in the US. In 1991 the Locust Fork Invitational began and a year later the Locust Fork White Water Classic was added.

Race courses consist of about 25 gates, set on class II/III rapids that are approximately one hundred yards long. They are spectator friendly with walking trails right beside them.
Dates

Mulberry Fork Canoe & Kayak Races – March 4th and 5th, 2023
Locust Fork Races – April 1st and 2nd, 2023

Race Format

Saturday – Championship Slalom, Downriver and Boater-cross
Sunday – Cruising and Novice Slalom

Admission Info

Entrance fee $5 per person, per day. Kids under 10 years old are free.

Camping $10 per person, per night. Camping fee covers daily event fee. Prices subject to change. If camping, please be considerate of others by keeping noise down at reasonable hours. Dogs should always be on leashes, and please pick up their waste.
Directions to the Races
Locust Fork Invitational will be located at Kings Bend in Cleveland, Alabama, just north of Cleveland off Hwy 231/79.

Mulberry Fork Canoe & Kayak Races will be near Garden City, Alabama, and located river right of the Mulberry River.
