There’s no better way to celebrate the beauty of autumn than crowning oneself with the bounty of the season. Meagan will lead participants in a hands-on demonstration on how to create a seasonal fresh flower crown using pre-gathered blooms and foliage. She will also explore techniques, styles, trends, and storage. Don’t forget your camera! You won’t want to miss your flower crown photo op with the Gardens’ fall foliage as a backdrop. 

Meagan Winningham is owner of Alabama Eden, a farmer florist startup combining locally-grown cut flowers, native plants, and edibles to create floral designs that reflect the distinct beauty of Alabama.

Special Note: Participants are responsible for bringing a variety of flowers and foliage to use in designing their flower crowns. Stem length of at least three inches is recommended Birmingham Botanical Gardens will provide floral wire, floral tape, ribbons, and scissors.
