Aga Khan Foundation Walk

Aga Khan Foundation Walk

Presented by Aga Khan Foundation at Railroad Park

A fundraising walk on October 16th at the Railroad Park from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. The actual walk will be at 12:00 pm. Birmingham mayor William Bell Sr. will be the keynote speaker at the event. Along with him we have received confirmation from mayors of Hoover, Vestavia and Homewood, Senator Jabo Waggoner, Representative Jack Williams, Birmingham councilman Jay Roberson and county manager Tony Petelos to attend the event.  Aga Khan Foundation is a non-profit, non-denomination global organization with 200 projects in 30 countries. The event will include silent auction, a village in action which is a visual depiction of the projects undertaken by the organization and prepared by the middle school students, musical performances and kids and family fun. The event is free and open to all. Coca Cola is our national partner and along with other vendors will distribute free items. It is a fun filled day for the whole family. Last year we had around 2000 people and raised over $300,000. Please join our efforts to help eradicate poverty and be stronger together.
