Slave Dwelling Project - Joe McGill Presentation and Overnight

Presented by Klein Arts and Culture at The Klein-Wallace House

Joe McGill’s dynamic presentation will focus on the legacy of enslavement in the US and the mission of the Slave Dwelling Project at 4 pm. At 6 pm, a locally catered Soul food meal will feature vegetarian vegetables, a meat, and dessert. Continuing this immersive experience are a fireside chat on the patio, sleeping inside the empty house with fellow participants, and breakfast. Bring your own bedding and perhaps an air mattress. Bathrooms are outside the house. While this event is free, we invite you to help recover the costs of food, house and ground preparation, and speaker fees by making a donation. $20 for dinner and $20 for overnight will help cover these expenses. If you are able, please give a bit more to cover the expenses for others.
