Session One: 9am to noon
Making Value Based Goals a Reality: Planning for Today and the Future
Susan Koblin Schear, ARTISIN, LLC, Newark, NJ

Do you find it difficult to focus on both your art and your business practice? Are you challenged in developing and implementing your short-term and long-term goals for both your professional practice and personal life?
Setting goals and defining the values behind your art are often overlooked aspects of your creative practice. By articulating your goals and aligning them with your guiding principles, you can facilitate many challenges in the business of your art.
During our time together we will define and focus on values-based goal setting, and examine how you establish, implement and be accountable for both short- and long-term goals.
Participate in this valuable interactive workshop to garner the processes and tools necessary for you to develop and implement your values-based goals. Share your experience with other artists, network, engage and have fun!

Lunch on your own: noon to 1pm

Session Two: 1pm to 4 pm
Archiving Solutions for Artists
Patricia Hernandez, Studio One Archive Resource, Houston, TX

Presented from the perspective of an artist, this workshop offers fruitful options for managing the records created or collected by practicing artists. It explains how basic archiving methods can help artists organize, preserve, and share relevant information to promote their work and take greater advantage of opportunities.

This workshop is made possible by The Joan Mitchell Foundation through its CALL to Action Award, an initiative designed to build awareness and encourage conversation around the importance and process of documenting artists’ legacies. Space One Eleven is a participating organization in the Joan Mitchell Foundation’s Creating a Living Legacy (CALL) program.
