Ages 19+: Faith In Dialogue

Ages 19+: Faith In Dialogue

Presented by Magic City Acceptance Center at Online/Virtual Space

This is open to anyone ages 19+ with an interest in discussing the intersectionality of LGBTQ identity and faith. While this is facilitated by a wonderful individual with a Methodist background, all beliefs and conversations are welcomed and encouraged!
For more about our wonderful facilitator,

Rev. Henry: Rev. Henry Gibson (they/them) serves as a United Methodist pastor working with several churches in the East Birmingham area. They also identify as pansexual and genderqueer. They received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus in Religion from Birmingham-Southern College and a Master of Divinity degree from Boston University School of Theology with a focus in Pastoral Ministry and Religion and Conflict Transformation. They are in the early years of marriage and love with their spouse, Maggie. They love cuddling with their tripod dog, Shaggy, and have a clear relationship of coexistence with their cat, Clive. They are also a total nerd and will gladly discuss video games, comics, TTRPG’s, and anything in the realm of nerdom with you. While Rev. Gibson comes to faith with a Christian lens, they also have a deep respect for other faith traditions and those who do not ascribe to a particular faith or any faith. They look toward dialogue around faith as a means of deepening relationships and appreciation of the diversity of our community. Wherever you are coming from, Rev. Gibson looks forward to meeting you where you are and journeying alongside you and others in dialogue.
