UAB Presents Discoveries in the Making: The Shape of Human Memory
Thursday, December 8, at 6:30 p.m. in the Round Auditorium
Join graduate student Julia Beattie as she discusses the shape of memory and what we know from MRI studies. Previous research has shown that a brain structure known as the hippocampus is important in memory functioning. Without it, we are unable to form new memories. Our research investigates whether there is a relationship between a person’s ability to remember new information and the shape of their hippocampus.
