The 11th Annual Caribbean Food and Music Festival hosted by Central Alabama Caribbean American Organization and featuring live music, great food and a costume parade.
The Marvel City Caribbean Food and Music Festival which takes place at DeBardeleben Park, Bessemer Alabama and is a vibrant display of Caribbean culture that starts at 11:00am and runs through 9:00pm. The event features live Reggae and Steel bands, a variety of performances to include dancing and singing most of which are interactive or include audience participation. In addition to the music there is a wide selection of food, merchandise, informational and non-profit vendors to satisfy attendees.
One of the most highly anticipated events of the festival is the costume parade that begins at the Bessemer Hall of History and ends at the festival venue in DeBardeleben Park. The parade features local officials, vintage cars and a variety of costumed performers. The event is family friendly.
