We are excited to announce the Girls on the Run Community 5K will take place Saturday May 9, 2015 at 8:00 am at Veterans Park on Valleydale.  This race is open to the community, and all runners, walkers, ages and levels are WELCOME! Please join us for a beautiful course followed by fun festivities! DJ Steve Sills will provide the race tunes needed for you to get pumped up and ready to RUN. He will lead an optional group warm up at 7:30 am in the field at Veterans Park. There will be a special start for community racers, followed immediately by the Girls on the Run program participant start.This race is chip timed for you to race your first or your fastest 5K!

The sweaty smiles of joy from over 250 girls finishing their first 5K beside you, will make it a special 5K for all who participate. After the race, there will be delicious snacks and carbs, more music, and fun kids activities include bracelet making, picture frame decorating, line dancing, Zumba and more.
