Jewish-American composers step into the spotlight in this program featuring Aaron Copland’s Third Symphony, called “the greatest American symphony ever written,” and “…an American monument, like the Washington Monument or the Lincoln Memorial.” The ASO Chorus joins us for a popular work by Leonard Bernstein, referred to as “West Side Story meets the Book of Psalms.”
