Papa's Angels, An Appalachian Christmas Story

Papa's Angels, An Appalachian Christmas Story

at Gardendale Presbyterian Church

Gardendale Presbyterian Church will present Papa’s Angels, An Appalachian Christmas Story a Play by Collin Wilcox Paxton

Set in 1935 high in the Smokey Appalachian Mountains, this holiday family show is one audiences flock to see year after year. Papa Jenkins, known throughout the hills as “Grins,” is a man whose guitar playing and singing makes him well known far and wide. When he is suddenly struck by heartbreak, his five irrepressible children prepare Christmas morning surprises that rescue their beloved Papa from the depths of despair. Make new Christmas traditions as you are swept up by this magical tale of faith, tradition and family love that is as humorous as it is heartwarming.
