Make history come alive by working on an Underground Railroad Quilt! Wilhelmina Thomas, gifted quilter and storyteller, will lead a three-session workshop on Wednesday February 7, 21, and 28 from 6-8 pm at the Bib & Tucker Sew-Op. Together, we will create an Underground Railroad Quilt that Wilhelmina will use in her programs with children. Participants will receive kits with enough supplies for two blocks each of three different designs, so you will make three blocks for inclusion in the main quilt and three blocks for your own mini-quilt.
The fee will be $30 for all three sessions for Sew-Op members and $50 for non-members. Please bring your machine, but if you need to rent one, we have some available for $15. Quilting experience is not necessary; however, basic machine and hand sewing skills are required.
