Pioneer Classic Basketball Tournament

Presented by Lakeshore Foundation at Lakeshore Foundation

The 30th Annual Pioneer Classic Wheelchair Basketball Tournament will be January 13-15, 2017 at Lakeshore Foundation in Homewood. Recognized as one of the largest and most prestigious wheelchair basketball tournaments in the nation, 17 adult and youth teams totalling more than 150 athletes will compete for Division I and II/III titles. Lakeshore’s adult and youth teams will be competing and will face teams from across the country. The Pioneer Classic began in 1987 when Jo Fowler, along with other members of the phone company’s all-volunteer community service organization, known as the Pioneers, raised funding for Lakeshore’s first wheelchair basketball invitational. All games are FREE and open to the public. More information at www.lakeshore.org.
