An in-person tour of three historic, beautiful homes in the Hollywood neighborhood of Homewood
This Tour, first held in the early 1980s, is the Hollywood Garden Club’s biennial fundraiser for neighborhood beautification and to support Shades Cahaba Elementary, as it has since the early days of Hollywood.
In 2002, the Hollywood Historic District was placed on the National Register of Historic Places. It remains of historical significance as the earliest, and one of the best-executed, planned communities in the state.
It is still noteworthy for the architectural style of the surviving historic houses of both Spanish and Tudor design.
This year’s tour features three beautiful homes that have been renovated to today’s standards without compromising the integrity of the original designs that make Hollywood unique.
Tickets are $40.00 and can be purchased in advance here or day of at any of the three Tour homes via Eventbrite online payment, Venmo, or cash only.
Children will also need a ticket to enter. The Tour is designed to provide an engaging experience for adults. Well-supervised children are welcome, but they must have individually purchased tickets. Because of the risk to private property, strollers are not allowed inside the residence.
