Are you looking for a race to help you cross your previous threshold with that little extra distance? Then join the BUTS crew for our most festive trail race yet on December 17th at Red Mountain Park! If you’re ready for your first ‘Ultra’ marathon and hibernation just isn’t your thing, then the 27 mile “Bearly Ultra” is the run for you. However, if your paws aren’t ready for that leap in distance but still a four month nap doesn’t sound exciting, then drop down to the 13.5 mile Cub Half Ultra. The course design for our 4th annual race will incorporate freshly blazed and beautiful single track trails of red iron ore, weaving through this transformed historic mining park; a challenge for both the new and gnarly trail runner alike!

For 2016 we are doing BUTS Bearly Ultra hats instead of shirts for the first 150 people who sign up for any of the three races. So don’t miss out on yours.

This year we are also offering a $15 5K. Yes just 15 bucks. It will be a fast and fun 5K open to everyone, with awards for top 3 male and female winners.

More than just a race, this family friendly event will have numerous local sponsors on hand throughout the day to provide coffee, pastries, and much more to help soothe those weary paws!

Every 27-mile and 13.5-mile finisher will receive a finisher’s award! This race will fill up quickly so register early to ensure you have your spot!
