Celebrate One Starry Night of fun on Thursday April 27th at The Club with the Assistance League® of Birmingham.  Enjoy dinner, music, and dancing to the live music of Birmingham’s popular Total A$$ETS.  The evening will honor Darwin Metcalf, President/COO of Western Markets.   Party with a purpose under the stars to raise money for our three philanthropic programs that provide new clothes and books to close to 2,000 area school children through Operation School Bell and Operation Literary; and, provide financial opportunities to assist seniors at PrimeTime Treasures.  Chairman Cindy Wade has been working with a Host Committee, comprised of area business leaders, and volunteer members to acquire many great auction items – sports events and memorabilia, mountain and beach destinations, and many other favorite Birmingham events.  Jack Granger, of Granger Thagard Associates, Inc., will also lead a fun, quick live auction.  Darwin Metcalf is a long time Birmingham civic leader who has supported many of Birmingham’s philanthropic events and has a heart for the needs of Birmingham.  Assistance League of Birmingham has been fortunate to have Darwin serve on our Advisory Board and we are honored to recognize him.
