On the evening of Friday, February 24, 2017, medical students of the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine (UASOM) will drop their books to hit the stage at the historic Lyric Theatre for The Best Medicine Show. The event is an opportunity for students to showcase their talents with a night of short digital films, live sketches, dance, and music.

For over 20 years, UASOM students have garnered their wit, creativity, and time to put on an annual Skit Night. In 2011, students took Skit Night to a new level by incorporating the show into an annual fundraiser and relocating to the historic landmarks in the Birmingham area. Thus Skit Night became The Best Medicine Show!
