You can also see our two newest IMAX movies, Dream Big and Extreme Weather in the John W. Woods IMAX® Dome Theater. Our 280 seats sit under a 5 story, 79ft. diameter tilted, domed screen fills your entire field of vision and the audio surrounds you to create a truly immersive sight and sound film experience.

Special Programs

March 26-31: Brain Awareness Week is a worldwide celebration of the brain that brings together scientists, families, schools, and communities. Join UAB staff and graduate students for a chance to dissect a sheep brain or cow eyeball and enjoy various interactive activities that describe how the senses work.
March 27 – 31: We will have special themes for our public programming offerings in the Adventure Halls: McWane Speedway, Tech Lab, Create and Construct, Welcome to the Jungle, and Lost in Space.
