Join us for the second annual “Fight the Bite” a chip timed 5k run and 1k Fun Run Walk & Wag. CASH prizes for the 5K-  1st, 2nd and 3rd place overall male and female participantsand medals for top male and female in each age group. Registration includes a t-shirt, swag bag, race bib, and one free raffle ticket. The raffle prize is a 55″ 4K TV!! This is a fun family event which includes an award ceremony and a Lyme Disease Awareness Expo with games and prizes. Pets are welcome on a leash. Lyme disease is the fastest growing tick-borne infectious disease in the country – the expo will show you ways to prevent Lyme Disease.

The event is a fundraiser for Alabama Lyme Disease Association which is a 501(c)(3) and the funds will be used to educate the public and physicians about symptoms, diagnosis, treatments and methods of prevention as well as to fund Lyme disease research efforts.
