Central Alabama Pride knows exactly how to celebrate Pride Week, with a series of events that stretches June 2-11 and includes Latin dancing, a drag brunch, a baseball game, a skating party and a performance by the Steel City Men’s Chorus. Of course, there’s the annual Pride Parade in the Lakeview entertainment district and a daylong PrideFest at Sloss Furnaces. Here are 14 ways to show your pride, recognize the LGBTQ community and spread a message of equality and acceptance in Birmingham.
 
June 2 – Out at the field

Back by popular demand in partnership with the Birmingham Gay and Lesbian Parenting Group our third annual night with the Birmingham Barons is a great way to check out the amazing Regions Field while enjoying time with your ‘family.’ Tickets available in advance or at the box office at Regions Field.

June 3 – Noche Latina

Join us at Saturn starting at 9 p.m. for dance lessons with dancing starting at 10 p.m.

June 3 – Titleholders reunion

June 4  – Pride Sharon’s Drag Brunch

Join us at Michael’s for Sharon’s Drag Brunch Pride Edition with special guest Yara Sofia from ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ Season 3. There will be a silent auction benefiting Pride along with T-shirts!

June 4 – ?Interfaith service

An interfaith service featuring up to 20 different leaders of congregations and faiths all together for a night of worship without judgment.

June 5  – BAO Bingo

June 6 – ?Pride skate

June 7 – ?SHOUT! film screening: ‘Dynasty’ night

In honor of Central Alabama Pride, Inc. Week, SHOUT presents ‘Dynasty Night!’ In celebration of the 35th anniversary of Steven Carrington coming out, this special event will feature Dynasty inspired drag performances by the amazing Cierra Symone Campbell, Shelby Dillard and Audrina Taylor. There will be an ‘Icons Of Television’ costume contest with a prize basket for the winner including VIP Passes to Sidewalk Film Festival. Don’t miss our super special screening and more!

Come and enjoy our nighttime Mardis Gras-style parade along Seventh Avenue South! Parade begins at 32nd Street South and ends at Our Place.

June 11 – ?PrideFest 2017

Our main event features Billy Gilman from “The Voice” and Chi Chi DeVayne from “Rupaul’s Drag Race” Season Eight! A day of fun and entertainment for the whole family with vendors, kids area, local and national entertainment and more.
Note: VIP tickets that include meet-and-greet with headliners are $125 (Gilman or DeVayne) and $150 (both stars).
