The first college football tailgate party of the season is set for Saturday, Aug. 19 at Otey’s Tavern (244 Country Club Park, Mountain Brook) from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Boiling N’ Bragging, a benefit to help raise funds and awareness for the Critical Care Transport program at Children’s of Alabama, brings football fans of all ages together for this annual event.

For the ninth straight year, the 53 clubs of Rotary International District 6860 is partnering with Children’s, Otey’s Tavern and Charter Spectrum to host a football kick-off party and low country boil. Guests will enjoy live music, $1 drink specials and kids’ activities. Entertainment will be provided by Lance Taylor and Rockstar from WJOX’s Roundtable.

Guests are encouraged to wear their favorite college football team colors. Tickets are $25 in advance at BoilingNBragging.org or $30 at the door. Children age 10 and younger are admitted free.
