It is with great pride that we present the Inaugural Festa Italiana, to take place on Saturday, May 16, 2015.

The mission of Festa Italiana is to promote, honor and celebrate the Italian culture and traditions within the greater Birmingham community. This one-day event will include activities centered around Italian foods, language, religion, folklore, customs, and family!

Festa Italiana will welcome thousands from in and around our community to Linn Park, in the heart of downtown Birmingham. The festival will begin with a traditional Italian Procession leading to a day and night filled with music, dance, art, and of course, authentic Italian fare. For attendees, young and old, Italian by blood or just at heart, this street festival welcomes all of those looking to enjoy a “Kiss of Italy” right here in Birmingham.

Featuring live musical performances on the main stage, Festa Italiana will showcase some of the most talented acts around, many of Italian descent or influence. And what would an Italian Festival be without the food! Aside from actually being in Italy, Festa Italiana will be the next best thing. Imagine Park Place and 8th Avenue filled with authentic Italian vendors serving a variety of favorites from Italian sausage to cannoli.
