Alabama EDSers 2nd Annual Watermelon Festival

Alabama EDSers 2nd Annual Watermelon Festival

Presented by Alabama EDSers at Homewood Central Park

Our nonprofit is based out of Alabaster, AL. We strive to raise community awareness about Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), support individuals with EDS, and help fund research on EDS. We have a support group that meets once a month and is open to the public. We currently serve close to 70 families in our state and neighboring states.

Our purpose for the watermelon festival is to raise awareness and fund research at Baylor University. They are currently searching for a treatment for EDS. This will be the first treatment option available if they succeed. We will have old-fashioned festival games, live music, food, drinks, watermelon, and more. The festival is on Saturday June 13th from 4 PM to 9 PM at Homewood Central Park. Admission is $5.00 and 5 and under get in for free.
