In 1979, artist Sara Garden Armstrong purchased the building at 111 21st Street South (now 111 Richard Arrington Jr. Blvd., South) with the dream of filling the building with artists. Since then, there have been over 80 artists that have been a part of 21st Street Studios, which has allowed them to contribute and connect to the Birmingham art community.  Peter Prinz, artist/sculptor, CEO and Co-Founder of Space One Eleven, is curating this exhibition which focuses on the conversations between the artists’ at 21st Street Studios  – both current and past. 

Join us for an exhibition opening and hear the tales of artists from the past and the present as they tell their stories through their works and words.
