There is no better place to celebrate “National Trails Day” than on Ruffner Mountain!  Festivities begin at 8:30 a.m. with refreshments available for our hikers.  Celebration continues as Ruffner Mountain along with Wild South and Turkey Creek Nature Preserve honor the first graduates of the Volunteer Preserve Ranger program.  Newly appointed Preserve Rangers will then be leading us on a hike into the beautiful woods of Ruffner Mountain Nature Preserve.

Meet our new Rangers, have some refreshments then join us on a hike celebrating “Nation Trails Day.”  We will have Wild South hats and t-shirts, Columbia Sportswear goodies and we will be raffling a copy (possibly autographed) of Gert “ma” Boyles’ autobiography “One Tough Mother”. Gert Boyles is the daughter of Columbia Sportswear founder, Paul Lamfrom.  Hope to see you on the Mountain!
