Culinard, the Culinary Institute of Virginia College in Birmingham, is pleased to partner with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System to host a two-day Home Food Preservation Basics workshop. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from food safety and preservation experts from the Alabama Cooperative Extension System and will practice a variety of methods of preservation including pressure canning, water bath canning, pickling, fermenting and freezing. Registration is open to the public and limited to 25 participants per day.
