6th Annual Park in the Park Antique Car Show Returns to Avondale Park

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (June 2, 2015) –The Forest Park South Avondale Business Association and REV Birmingham are proud to announce details for the “6th Annual Park in the Park” an antique car show returning to Avondale Park and presented by Central Alabama Credit Union. The event will be held on Saturday July 11th from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm and is free to the public.

Car enthusiasts of all ages will enjoy a showcase of more than 200 antique and customized cars from regional car clubs from the southeast, along with some antique fire trucks.

Car owners will register on the day of show for $20 and will receive a complimentary swag bag, a car plaque and t-shirt to the 1st 100 cars. Trophies will be awarded at 2:00 pm from Best of Show to Best Engine, with judging starting at 12:00 pm. Additional door prizes will be awarded during to the day. Proceeds from the day will be shared with Magic Moments who was picked as this year’s charity.

Music from DJ Larry Huff playing tunes from the 50’s and 60’s and food from Silvertron Café will be available for breakfast and lunch. Also local non-profits from the community will be setup highlighting their projects.
