Stand in Unity: A Candlelight Vigil for Charleston
Join the UAB community and ciizens of Birmingham as we stand together in pursuit of peace and healing and remember the lives lost in the June 17 shooting at Emmanuel A.M.E Church in Charleston, South Carlolina.
Remarks by Reverend Mashod Evans, Pastor at St. John A.M.E Church and Dr. Kathryn Morgan, Director of African American Studies Program, with special music by Kevin Paul Turner, Director of UAB Gospel Choir.
Following the vigil AEIVA will be open for an after hours viewing of The Freedom Exhibition: Two Countries/One Struggle; FOCUS 1: Identified; and Willie Cole: Transformations.
