The #DefendRivers Campaign engages citizens across Alabama in raising awareness of water issues and communicating their significance to state elected officials and those seeking to become elected officials. 

We invite everyone – no matter age or paddling experience! – to join us on the Alabama River near Mongtomery for a quick and exciting trip down the Alabama with great food and friends. We will celebrate the natural beauty while insisting our rivers are protected. Details are coming soon, but please make plans now to join us! Does your work allow for a day of community service? This is that day! 

The #DefendRivers Paddle provides an opportunity for citizens to *float* their message directly to elected officials. This year’s message is for our State to FIND the FUNDS to support all of Alabama’s much needed programs, including water management planning, ADEM, State Parks and more.
