Space One Eleven’s (SOE) Annual Student/Teaching Artists Exhibition will showcase the works of young artists who attended SOE’s 2015 summer art camps. Rising second through eighth graders worked with a variety of art mediums while learning about Alabama artists to coincide with the theme, “I’M AN ALABAMA ARTIST, TOO!” Students learned about influential artists of Alabama while realizing they, too, can be Alabama artists. Also on exhibit will be works created by students in SOE’s Portfolio Development Course for Teens, as well as pieces by SOE summer teaching artists, all of whom are practicing artists.
