The Family & Friends of Calee Bradley Johnson invite you to Paint the Town Red! Wear Red and Help Us Support Disability Rights and Resources at a Reception and Silent Auction on Friday, July 17 at 5:30 p.m. at Disability Rights and Resources, 1418 6th Ave. N., Birmingham.
Calee Bradley Johnson was born in Dothan, Al and resided in Birmingham until her death in 2008. She was born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), a genetic disorder which limited her mobility. She utilized motorized scooters for most of her life, and was partial to bright red ones in particular! She was often seen scooting through the halls of UAB Hospital, where she was employed, on a fire engine red scooter and donning sparkly red outfits! She graduated from the University of Montevallo in 1999, and completed a Master’s Degree in Social Work at the University of Alabama in 2008. Her “Spirit of Empowerment” inspired others to achieve goals regardless of physical limitations. Please join us as we honor her legacy and support this worthy cause!
The cost of tickets is $10.00. Tickets may be purchased at the door or on-line. To purchase on-line, go to www.drradvocates.org; click on the Donate button.
