The Junior Board of Hands On Birmingham is proud to host their annual summer fundraiser, Southern Summer Night, on Friday, August 7, 2015, from 6:00-10:00 p.m. The festivities will take place at local favorite, Avondale Brewery. The evening will include fabulous food, live music by the Abba & The Hall Boys, a silent auction and the opportunity to win a cabinet of cheer filled with wine and spirits. Guests will enjoy a meal and two drinks with their purchase of a ticket. 

The Southern Summer Night planning committee has been working diligently to make the event a true success. Junior Board members have been reaching out to the community and friends to garner support of the event. Sponsors for this year’s event include: Wells Fargo, America’s First Federal Credit Union, Ashley Furniture, The Dannon Project and The Watson Firm.  The silent auction items are set to be very robust with a variety of wonderful goods up for grabs.

Proceeds from this event will help Hands On Birmingham further its mission of connecting people with organized and meaningful volunteer opportunities to help improve the community. Hands On Birmingham sponsors over 150 projects throughout the year and plans and implements large scale community projects and days of service to include: MLK Day of Service, 9/11 Week of Service and Remembrance, Family Volunteer Day, United Way Day of Action, Bunny Aid and Project Homeless Connect.
