Come Join us at the Hilton Perimeter in the Hoover area of Birmingham, Alabama for the 1st annual Southern Traveler Swing and Shag social dance weekend!  There will be workshops taught by regional pros in both Carolina Shag and West Coast Swing for all levels of dancing.

Shag and Swing DJ’s will keep the ballroom rockin’ all weekend long.  They will play the favorite hits of yesterday and today that light up the dance floors across the country.  Try your hand at the “for fun” Jack and Jill’s and meet new people throughout the south with HOURS of SOCIAL DANCING.

Weekend passes are only $75 online early bird until Aug 1 and there are day passes  available for people that cannot make the entire weekend.  The Jr’s/College Discounts available for only $45 per pass. www.bamadance.com

Workshops will be for all levels from first timers to advanced.  Brush up on your basics, learn a new style, and learn some new moves.

Saturday Night will be the “S.E.C. of Swing” College Football tailgate party in the ballroom.  Wear your favorite collegiate team colors and show your school pride!

Decorate your table with your school, studio, or state pride and win the table decorating contest.

Sunday afternoon is the “Best of Bama” competition which all dance styles compete against each other.  Hip Hop vs contemporary vs swing vs shag vs any style goes! Anyone can register!   Dancers from across the state and the south will compete to see what style and what dancers are the “Best of Bama” for 2015.
