“The 1st Annual Birmingham Zine Fest kicks off at Continental Bakery Downtown with a night of reading and performances from zine makers, poets, performers and more from Alabama, Tennessee and beyond!

Bring zines of your own creation and/or your favorites from your personal library and we can all play show and tell. Read a passage or the whole thing! It all works.

Dinner starts at 5pm and reading begins at 6:30 sharp!

The fun won’t stop on Friday night. Here is the rest of the Bham Zine Fest schedule:
Saturday 10-4 All day zine making at Seasick Records (supplies included, also bring your own supplies)
Saturday 1-3 How To DIY? – A worskhop in binding, stitching, and folding many types of zines at Paperworkers Local ($20 registration)
Saturday 5:30-7 – Make-A-Zine-In-An-Hour-Contest at Seasick Records – Surprise theme of zines TBA at event
$5 entry fee with cash prize for winner!

Proceeds from events will fund the AL Zine Library, a public collection, curated by Andy Harris, that will find a permanent home following the Festival.”
