First Thursday: After Hours at the Museum

Your Night at the Museum!

The Birmingham Museum of Art is pleased to present an after-hours experience on the first Thursday of each month. Wander the galleries, sip cocktails in the garden, catch a movie, or sit down with friends for tapas at Oscar’s. The Museum is open for your enjoyment until 9:00 PM.

6:00 PM: Gallery Talk: Rising Up: Hale Woodruff’s Murals at Talladega College // Join us for a free tour of our summertime exhibition, featuring the large-scale, colorful murals from Talladega College’s Savery Library.
6:30 PM: Art Class // Drop-in and Draw: Murals
7:00 PM: Panel Discussion // This panel, including the Honorable Judge Houston Brown, the Honorable Judge Ralph C. Cook, attorney Mason Davis, and civil rights leader Odessa Woolfolk, will discuss the legal case of the Amistad.
