This fall, Vulcan Park and Museum will join forces with Saturn and The Bowery Presents: South to launch its 11th year of the Vulcan AfterTunes Sunday afternoon concert series. Enjoy cool tunes, craft brews and sweet views with these up-and-coming artists as well as everyone’s favorite cast iron statue, Vulcan. Chill out in Birmingham’s backyard with your lawn chairs and blankets and bring the whole family out to enjoy some of the country’s best new entertainers. Gates will open at 1:00 p.m. and the concerts will begin at 3:00 p.m. Tickets and seating are first-come, first-served. Light snacks, beer, wine and soft drinks will be available for purchase. No pets or outside alcohol allowed. 

About Langhorne Slim & The Law Pennsylvania-born self-taught guitarist Langhorne Slim moved to Brooklyn at the age of 18 and then found his way to the west coast. He is celebrated from Newport to Portland as one of today’s most original singers and songwriters creatively blending genres of rock and roll, folk, and pop music. Langhorne Slim & The Law – bassist Jeff Ratner, drummer Malachi DeLorenzo and banjo player and keyboardist David Moore – have played together on tours with the Drive-By Truckers and the Avett Brothers, and have made appearances at the Newport Folk Festival and Bonnaroo.
