Vulcan AfterTunes Concert 2 Featuring: Karl Denson's Fantastic Fall Tour

This fall, Vulcan Park and Museum will join forces with Saturn and The Bowery Presents: South to launch its 11th year of the Vulcan AfterTunes Sunday afternoon concert series. Enjoy cool tunes, craft brews and sweet views with these up-and-coming artists as well as everyone’s favorite cast iron statue, Vulcan. Chill out in Birmingham’s backyard with your lawn chairs and blankets and bring the whole family out to enjoy some of the country’s best new entertainers. Gates will open at 1:00 p.m. and the concerts will begin at 3:00 p.m. Tickets and seating are first-come, first-served. Light snacks, beer, wine and soft drinks will be available for purchase. No pets or outside alcohol allowed. 

About Karl Denson’s Fantastic Fall Tour Fresh off The Rolling Stones “Zip Code Tour,” Karl Denson’s Fantastic Fall Tour including his band The Tiny Universe, embark on a nationwide run that will give new and old fans the chance to experience what is highly regarded as one of the “best live bands on the planet.”  Guitarist DJ Williams, Soulive drummer Alan Evans, Greyboy Allstars bassist Chris Stillwell, Crush Effects David Veith on the keys, and Seattle’s Chris Littlefield on the trumpet join forces with a rotating cast of special guests including Chuck Leavell from The Rolling Stones & The Allman Brothers, guitar wiz Robert Randolph, Beto Martinez of Brownout and Sacred Steel phenom Roosevelt Collier. Karl Denson’s most recent recorded work can be heard on the Tiny Universe LP, New Ammo. Approaching two decades strong, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe is a prolific touring juggernaut that performs over 150 shows annually. Denson himself is an acclaimed and highly in-demand saxophonist and songwriter who first came to national attention as a member of Lenny Kravitz’s Let Love Rule-era group and is currently a member of The Rolling Stones touring band.
