Bama Bully Rescue and the Petco Foundation are inviting the public to learn more about the lifesaving impact of fostering animals. The summer months are a busy time for animal welfare organizations. There is often an increase in animal intake and demand for services. Many of these animals are simply in need of a place to stay while they await a new home. Providing them care in a temporary foster home can help save their lives. “Fostering can be a fun, educational activity for families and individuals,” said Petco Foundation executive director Susanne Kogut. “It can teach children responsibility, while providing the life-saving care animals need.”
Bama Bully Rescue volunteers will be on hand to: Provide more information about how to become a foster, accept applications to become a foster family, and provide mini seminars on Bully Breed Myths and Misconceptions and Introducing a New Dog to Your Family.
Since 1999, the Petco Foundation, has invested more than $185 million in lifesaving animal welfare organizations in communities across the country. For more information about Bama Bully Rescue or the Petco Foundation, visit www.bamabully.org or www.petcofoundation.org.
