Guests will have a blast gliding through 4 ¼ miles of Red Mountain Park’s landscaped trails and historic railroad beds, visiting sights that include the historic #13 Mine portal and Redding Hoist House. 

Tour Guides share tidbits and trivia about the early years of Birmingham’s iron ore mining, the importance of the mountain to our great nation, and its significant impact on WWI & WWII.  You’ll also learn about the Red Mountain Park’s future vision, how you can get involved, and the story of transformation from tough mining days, to today’s lush landscapes and safe family minded recreational activities.
