West African Drumming Class

West African Drumming Class

Presented by Get Rhythm!® at The Dance Foundation

Do you feel an inner calling towards the beat of a drum, but aren’t quite sure how to receive it? Maybe you are just curious about how to play a basic hand drum and you want to learn more.  African-style drumming is a great way to get started. The djembe drum (from W. Africa) is a drum that welcomes all people of all levels. The djembe only seeks to teach you what you are ready to learn.

African drumming classes are a great way to reduce stress, quiet the mind, have fun, and get energized all at thesame time.

John Scalici’s teaching style inclusive and welcoming to all people who simply enjoy the process of learning. This is one of themost supportive, inviting, and diverse groups of learners you will EVER experience.

Come experience a warm and friendly environment in which anyone can have fun learning, regardless of experience or ability. People from all walks of life participate in this drumming class. (This is an adult class, but those ages 12 and older may participate with a parent)
