The Shelby County Arts Council will host the 8th Annual Adult Juried Art Gallery Exhibit from September 30, 2016 through October 21, 2016.  Artist will be competing for cash awards for “Best of Show”, Best of Each Category:Painting, Drawing,  3D, Photography and Mixed Media. The Juror for this year’s show is Mr. Ted Metz. Ted Metz, retired professor of sculpture at the University of Montevallo. Metz joined the University of Montevallo in 1973 after receiving his MFA from the University of South Carolina. His public sculptures can be seen on campus at UM, Health South Corporation, and numerous other locations.  The opening reception is slated for Friday, September 30, 2016 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Shelby County Arts Council Gallery in Columbiana, Alabama. Awards will be presented at 7:30pm.  The opening reception is free and open to the public. Gallery Hours are Monday – Thursday, 10am – 5pm.
