Formed in 2003 by former Westminster Abbey choristers, VOCES8 is one of the most exciting, versatile, and best-loved vocal groups in the world performing today. The British octet performs repertoire ranging from Renaissance polyphony to modern jazz and pop arrangements and contemporary commissions, as they tour extensively throughout Europe, North America and Asia.

The award-winning ensemble has performed at major international venues in England, France, Germany, Belgium, United States, Canada, Israel, China. VOCES8 regularly commissions and collaborates with world-renowned contemporary composers, as well as the Philharmonia Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, and period ensemble Les Inventions.

With an ongoing schedule of live broadcasts and recordings, VOCES8 is heard regularly on international television and radio in England and Europe. They have recorded on Decca Classics and Signum Classicsm, and have collaborated with Early Music instrumental ensemble Les Inventions. In 2013, the group was nominated for seven Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards (CARA), winning Best Classical Album and Best Classical Song. VOCES8 is an Ambassador for Edition Peters, publisher of arrangements and educational material including the VOCES8 A Cappella Songbook and The VOCES8 Method.

Education and outreach are fundamental to the mission of VOCES8. For their music foundation, Voces Cantabiles Music (VCM), VOCES8 leads an innovative series of music education workshops reaching 20,000 people annually around the world with the aim of inspiring creativity and excellence through music. They also provide choral scholarships, summer school in Dorset, a London music education hub and are part of the VCM Foundation, which invested more than £1 million in music education in the UK alone, and is a registered charity praised by UNESCO. Gresham Centre provides vocal music, outreach and education–workshops, master classes, concerts and recording sessions

VOCES8 is Ambassador for Edition Peters, publisher of arrangements and educational material and the VOCES8 A Cappella Songbook and The VOCES8 Method. Written by P. Smith of VOCES8, the Method (in English, German and French, with Japanese and Chinese versions to be released) is ground breaking, unique, innovative, and engaging program, designed for students of all ages, which is proven to enhance development in numeracy, literacy and linguistics.
