Reformation Hymn Festival

Reformation Hymn Festival

at First Lutheran Church

2017 marks the 500th Anniversary of the Protestant Reformation, where Dr. Martin Luther, a monk from Germany, nailed his 95 Theses to the door of the Wittenburg church.

After 500 years, the Christian church is “Still About Jesus” and the Reformation continues on.

To celebrate, Hope Lutheran Church is offering a Hymn Festival.  The festival is open to the public, for Lutherans or non-Lutherans.  We will sing and hear many of the wonderful hymns that have been written throughout the years by Lutheran composers, pastors, and theologians.

Since space is limited at Hope, First Lutheran Church in Birmingham has offered to host the event in their sanctuary.

Join us on Saturday, October 14th at 3:00pm for this once in a lifetime festival of song, fellowship, and good food.

Musicians, if you are interested in singing or playing for the festival, please contact us right away.  The first rehearsal is September 5th, and we need to get you your music and other information before that time!
