The concert will feature trumpet performance solo without accompaniment, as well as accompaniments by piano, computer and chamber brass. Guest performers include Kristine Hurst-Wajszczuk (soprano), James Baker (horn), Jeff Koonce (trombone), Steve Roberts (trumpet) and Chris Steele (piano). Pieces to be performed include traditional works by Eugene Bozza, Georg Philipp Telemann, Francis Poulenc and Gioachino Rossini, as well as newer compositions by Robert Bradshaw and Nichole Piunno. The recital will also feature a world premiere piece for trumpet and computer by Joe Alexander.
