An artistic haven on 29th Avenue South in Homewood, Liz Lane Gallery has open artists’ studios and a 1700 square foot collection of original jewelry, pottery and two dimensional art. Liz Lane Gallery will participate in Homewood’s monthly First Thursday Art Stroll and feature new art from the Gallery owner, Liz Lane.

Liz Lane is the name whispered under every artistic breath in Birmingham. From fashion sketched portraits to abstract interiors, Liz’s work echoes the grace and luster of Old Hollywood. “Growing up with an artist mother and a musician father,” she says, “I have been around art from day one. I moved to the Big Apple and worked in the fashion industry, but realized the south was the most conducive atmosphere to my creativity and returned to sweet home Birmingham, Alabama.”

Liz likes to have organized chaos in her works, which mirror her life. As a mother of a two year old little girl, Brooklyn, another baby girl, Estel, due in January, and a business owner, her art is a mirror of life. She has areas in her abstracts that are completely free of traditional thought- subconscious movements of a tangible experience-surrounded by clean and more concrete areas. She and her family love living in Birmingham amidst a thriving art movement.
