Birmingham City Council District 9 and REV Birmingham are calling all residents, visitors and Magic City renewal enthusiasts to come out for Ensley Alive, a concert and mini-outdoor music festival to highlight the heritage and revitalization efforts of downtown Ensley! Grab your lawn chairs and get ready to enjoy live performances from a diverse collection of artists including Todd Simpson and Mojo Child, Sharon with Heels & Chucks, Alvin Garrett and Raquel Lily!

We want to show Birmingham citizens — people who aren’t necessarily immediate residents or visitors of the area – the power and potential of Downtown Ensley’s Historic business core. Many people still believe Ensley’s business district is dead, but this concert demonstrates this community’s pride and perseverance; and that Ensley is indeed ALIVE.

Ensley Alive takes place Saturday, September 12th from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Avenue E and 19th Street Ensley. Food vendors include Magic City Sweet Ice, Travis Bear Burgers and Joannetta Jarman’s Caribbean Soul Food stand. Attendees will also have an opportunity to receive giveaways and hear special presentations by community stakeholders.
